    Experimental Drama Ghaffar’s Chinese Dream

    Using multimedia (music, image and video) Ghaffar Pourazar tells his story and demonstrates how watching Beijing Opera one night in London in 1993, completely changed his life. How he chased the troupe to Beijing and started living and training with children at the Beijing Opera school and through sickness and pain reconditioned his 32 year old body fit for football and hockey into a singing dancing acrobatic Beijing Opera Warrior and Monkey King. Throughout the story telling Ghaffar puts on costumes, paints his face and demonstrates parts of his early plays: SAN Cha Kou, Tiao Hua Che, Wusong plays and Shi Xiu Tan Zhuang and Monkey King plays. This is about amazing costumes from the Ming Dynasty and colors, designs, forms and movements on the stage which were passed down from ancient times, then refined and passed down again. Ghaffar uses audience participation throughout the evening, inviting the audience to learn Beijing Opera movements and sounds and use of props.In between the live performances and multimedia demonstrations we hear about the tragedies of loneliness, sickness and physical pain next to the joy and excitement of learning a beautiful art form with energetic young people, making friends and learning a new culture. Hearing immense group shouts of joy at the site of dumplings in the Beijing Opera school canteen, and becoming the kids football Trainer at lunch time. IT IS ABOUT THE EXTRA RESPECT AND KINDNESS THAT MOST CHINESE SHOWED TO A FOREIGNER. It is about a kind of humanity that survives in China. It is also about traveling the YI Dai YI LU countries with Beijing Opera, some for the first time in history and performing his role as the monkey King in Persian, Turkish, Spanish and English, in addition to the original Chinese. Finally it is about winning recognition and awards and performing for Dukes and Duchesses, ministers, ambassadors, Mayors, Secretaries of State, pop stars and VIP guests of the Chinese government. It is about touring China and the world with the Beijing Opera companies and some of the most beautiful, skillful and lively actors, actresses and masters of the art and sharing their lives, joys and tragedies. He completes his monkey face and costume and performs an excerpt from Havoc in Heaven. Finally Ghaffar performs excerpts from his latest program combining Beijing opera with Broadway musicals.

    A black beam of light

    This is an original youth drama, which is one of the few original youth dramas in Shanghai. It originated from the Youth Drama project funded by Shanghai Charity Foundation in 2017. Actors were recruited through drama workshops in Shanghais middle school campus. After ten months of professional training, they came to the stage. The script is adapted to the stage style according to the classic western childrens picture books. The play is a satirical comedy, which is divided into three stories, including If Life Fails You, Who Moved My MeatBones and the Magic Corridor of Disgust and Praise.

    Puppet show Come Across In Childhood

    Shanghai Happy Horse Puppet Theater Activity Center Shanghai Happy Horse Puppet Theater Activity Center is associated by Professional Puppet Acting Team; Professional Children Theater Team; Children Educational Team; is one of the best puppet theater group in Shanghai. Hobby Horse Puppet Theater is dedicated into inheriting and developing Chinese traditional puppetry culture; as well as running a program called "Youth Puppetry Training Organization " which is going to develop more of the Youths members to understand and develop the puppetry art. In recent years, Happy Horse produced over one hundred public performances in Shanghai and performed in over fifty schools. Happy Horse has also been showed up in some local TV Channel such as Shang Hai Oriental Local TV Channel on the program called Xiao Ao Jiang Hu, Guang Dong Local TV Channel Puppet Movement and etc. Come Across In Childhood is a story about love and growth. In the story, there are two papermen fall in love with each other. From the first encounter and acquaintance then being brave for pursuing love and end up as a sweet love, just like everyone else having their first love. It presents the pure love belong to everyone. Come across in Childhood is not as same as the traditional puppet show, it is a new element puppet show by creativities, using the abandon paper to create paperman to present the shyness, movement and love emotions and so on. Even though this is a dumb show without dialogue in the story with, it is full of romantic love.

    Drama: Jar Players

    All of us might open a "jar" in our life.A desolate wilderness, there are three human called Large, Medium and Small playing with a jar and each had his own metaphor for it.Then, a scholar began to join the team, followed Large, Medium and Small together to play, explore and study... What is it in this jar? Is it a treasure? A steamed bun? Or...?It might be difficult for audiences to understand this play because there will be a series of absurd lines from time to time. For instance, like the character who will open the jar in the play, what seems to be doing is quite reasonable, but in fact it is meaningless and a bit ridiculous action. It used prophecies to awaken what people might have been through. In addition, the style of the play will be the same as zhangs interpretation of the script, with a "most rustic, clumsy, and silly" attitude to show the script that a hint of the expression.

    RADU STANCA NATIONAL THEATRE OIDIP

    This production of the National Theatre in Sibiu is an abridgement after Oedipus in Colonos and Oedipus King by Sophocles and surprises by the force of its almost cinematographic vision which of the directors montage which combines the real with the imaginary, developing a poetry of heartbreaking details. „Oedipus is one of the most beautiful texts of dramatic literature. As noted before, I returned to the Greek tragedy after many years, which was an occasion to practice again my appetite to create the same images with which I had not worked for a long time, the director declared, during the rehearsals in Sibiu.

    Drama The Pony

    The play is inspired by a true story that took place in North Carolina in 2014. This drama is for Michael Morones, Grayson Burce and all the boys and girls who, like them, have been abused and bullied without anyone around them doing anything to avoid the tragedies. ‘The Pony is one of those plays one would never miss. It reveals the agony thousands of young victims in the world have suffered, provoking peoples thought on freedom, fear and protection. It reflects how adults turn a blind eye to bullying among minors in our society. In ‘the Pony, the author and the director help the audience remove the bandage on their eyes to face the reality.

    Drama Struggle

    The play Struggle tells a story about three generations looking for, waiting and watching. The performance takes one and a half hours. Wang Wan shan and gai hua was the sweethearts lover, but they were separated from the change because of the relocation. They met each other and missed because of coincidence. Finally，gai hua married other man .Many years later, Wang Wan shan meet gai huas daughter. The fate revolved around him. He was involved in emotional conflicts with Liu Bao er. Their is a question here, is there have true love between each other or only because her mother. They waiting for love or for exile? Many years later, Liu Baoers son, Wang Si hui, felt the imprints and shackles of his fathers ancestors when they encountered love choices again in their adulthood. The blood of the family continues through the transmission of genes, and each generation has a faint interest in the choice of truth love. In order to break through the emotions passed on by the previous generation, everyone has made a self-denying effort to earn a reincarnation.

    Drama the Seed in Paradise

    Zhong Yang was the professor of School of Life Sciences in Fudan University, tutor of Ph.D. and cadre sent to support Tibet. He was unfortunately passed away by car accident in September, 2017. During his lifetime, he collected more than 40 million seeds of thousands of kinds of plants, establishing botanical gene base in China. As an educator, he has trained several Doctors of Botany in Tibet. The Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC posthumously honored him as Model of the Times in March 2018. CPC posthumously memorized Zhong Yang as Nationwide Outstanding member of CPC in June 2018.

The Harvest refers to the rituals accompanying harvest and the cycle of husbandry, nature and human life, conceptualised ethnographically (inspired, among others, by Oskar Kolbergs studies and Zofia Kossaks Polish Year), as well as anthropologically and philosophically. The narrative axis of the show is delineated by the trope of the return of Odysseus, based on Homers classic epic and Stanisław Wyspiańskis The Return of Odysseus.

It begins at its intersection with Pedder Street and Des Voeux Road Central in the west, and ends at Murray Road in the east.

    Crossover Stage Play From East To West

    The concept of art theatre, which features theatrical elements, has been formed by taking music as the core and combining it with the ideas of multimedia vision and installation art. Eight works are presented as an attempt to explore from different dimensions and spiritual temperament the "modern Western interpretation of the traditional Eastern spirit". Music, media, installation and other artistic techniques play a leading role in the works: the enthusiastic Xinjiang-style meets the deep restrained Blues with the help of the traditional chamber music, dancers dance freely in the New Age style for the string quartet, the dialogue between the modern a cappella and the traditional morin khuur constitutes a wonderful polyphony, and the beats in the music transcend the boundary of races. Following the concept of the post-theatre, From East to West has attached equal importance to the music and other elements of the theater. Unlike the music or theatrical theater, it makes elements such as painting, performing, music, dance and drama different roles on the stage, generating a new tension in the same space as time goes by. This is also what is peculiar to a crossover art theater.

    Ramesh Meyyappan is an internationally renowned visual theatre artist, whose last major work Butterfly was a huge hit at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2016 Off-Kilter is a dark, comedic, highly physical production, incorporating illusions and masterful, non-verbal storytelling.Joe Kilter has his own daily ituals-some even call it obsessive. But then a sudden change in his routine turns his world askew: Joe Kilter goes Off-Kilter. Feeling increasingly isolated, his life feels impossible, until he is forced to exist in darkness.Off-Kilterexplores mental wellbeing, identity, feeling a little bit different from everyone else, and not quite being yourself.

    Dance Drama Wedding Carriage

    Jiulian, with her iconic lotus feet, was a women living under the yoke of patriarchal rules. However, Jiulian never stopped her fighting against the social conventions, and loved bravely following her inner calls. Born like a reed in a ruthless fire, Jiulian was doomed to be devoured by all the social chains upon her. Loving and beloved, but discriminated and unrecognized, she finally fell into her ultimate destiny. This piece of work combines Jiulians life story with elements of Chinese Folk Dance to present a womans fate in a traditional society through modern dancing arts.

    Contemporary Guzheng with Chamber Orchestra Metamorphosis-“I Am The Silk Road”

    Cocoon–Metamorphosis I Am The Silk Road used modern composition method, western musical instruments, electronic music samples, Jazz, Chinese folk music, religions music, ancient court music and local opera elements. It seeks true harmony and connection of the eastern and western music by taking elements of Chinese philosophy and arts into a contemporary context that reflects Wangs cross-cultural life experience.This piece is composed for a chamber formation that includes violin, contra bass, electronics, shakuhachi, bass trombone, saxophone and percussion, to create delicate textures that express both a yearning for home and the restless urge to travel and discover the new.Cocoon–Metamorphosis I Am The Silk Road traces Wangs personal journey from her musical beginnings in the traditions of the guzheng through to her involvement with the avant-garde scene in London and Australia.

    Physical Theatre Pu Songling Shorts

    The program is the result of the collective creation of outstanding young actors of Yunnan Provincial Theatre Company and the young backbone teachers of Yunnan Arts University in the training process of "Yunnan Provincial Youth Drama Senior Talents Physical Drama Training International Workshop" instructed by the Canadian Smith Gilmore Troupe. Four of the performances were selected.
